Booking Policies for Your Airport Ride
Rescheduling Policy
- A $25 rescheduling fee applies to any appointment changed within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time.
- This fee is waived if your flight is canceled by the airline.
- All rescheduling requests must be submitted through our official communication channels.
Cancellation Policy
- A $25 cancellation fee applies to reservations canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time.
- This fee is waived for cancellations that result from airline-initiated flight cancellations.
Vehicle and Passenger Capacity
- Slingshot Taxi complies with all legal seating-capacity requirements.
- Vehicles may carry only the number of passengers legally permitted.
- All passengers must wear seat belts at all times.
Additional Vehicles for Large Groups
- Groups of more than 7 passengers may reserve multiple vehicles.
- Please indicate this requirement in the Special Accommodations section of the booking form.
- Each additional vehicle will be billed at the standard full rate.
Waiting Time Policy
- A 15-minute grace period is provided for scheduled pickups (excluding airport pickups).
- After the grace period, additional waiting or delays may result in added fees or adjustments to the trip.
- During significant airline delays, passengers may occasionally share transportation with another client to maintain operational efficiency.
Child Safety Requirements
- Children under 8 years old or under 4 feet 9 inches tall must be secured in an appropriate child safety seat or booster.
- Infant and toddler car seats are available upon request.
- Please request this accommodation at the time of booking.
Personal Property
- Slingshot Taxi is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or damaged personal items.
- We will make reasonable efforts to assist in locating and returning found items, but recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Privacy Policy
- Your personal information is used solely for operational purposes, billing and confirmation, and—when explicitly authorized—promotional communication.
- We do not sell or share personal information except as required for payment processing or legal compliance.
Liability Policy
- Slingshot Taxi makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability or performance of services.
- Slingshot Taxi is not liable for:
- Loss of use, revenue, value, or profit
- Indirect, incidental, or punitive damages
- Delays caused by traffic, weather, construction, or other circumstances beyond our control
- Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.
Special Cleaning Fee
- To maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all passengers, a $450 cleaning fee will be charged if a vehicle requires special cleaning due to:
- Spilled beverages
- Food-related incidents
- Bodily fluids
- Other major contamination
- Damage beyond cleaning costs may incur additional charges.
Anti-Discrimination Policy
- Per Michigan state law MCL 37.2102 Recognizes as a civil right the “full and equal utilization of public accommodations, public services” without discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics
- Per Michigan state law MCL 37.2302 (Public Accommodations or Services; Prohibited Practices) — This section makes it unlawful to deny any person the “full and equal enjoyment” of the goods, services, facilities, or accommodations of a place of public accommodation or public service on the basis of protected factors (religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status).
- Violations may result in refusal or termination of service.
Tobacco and Substance Policy
- In compliance with MCL 257.2139, smoking, vaping, and the use of illegal substances are strictly prohibited in all Slingshot Taxi vehicles.
- This policy applies to both drivers and passengers.
- A cleaning fee will be charged if this policy is broken.
🚗 Trip and Vehicle Guidelines
Multiple Trips
Each trip must be reserved separately.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Passenger Capacity
Our vehicles can accommodate up to 7 passengers per reservation.
Larger Groups
Groups exceeding 7 passengers may reserve additional vehicles.
Please specify this requirement in the Special Accommodations section of the booking form.
Each additional vehicle will be billed at the standard full rate.
Slingshot Taxi reserves the right to cancel at any time with no refund if the following law is broken.
Under MCL 37.2302(a) (public accommodations section), it is illegal for any person to deny someone services or treat them differently based on:
- Race
- Color
- Religion
- National origin
- Age
- Sex
- Sexual orientation
- Gender identity or expression
- Marital status
If a customer harasses, refuses service from, or mistreats a driver based on any of those traits, they are violating Michigan civil rights law.
